Psihoselect is recruiting for a partner company known for telecom network rollout for the following position:

 

HEAD OF ENERGY

Location: Bucharest

 

Role: The Group Head of Energy – work as an integral part of a project team, be involved in one or more projects during all phases until completion, interface with both internal and external clients, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams. Responsible to select the entire range of energy products for the group: Solar, hybrid and conventional systems. Assess business decisions & opportunities for all projects and special OPCO projects.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • With the support of the SCM department will identify and purchase various solutions, products and services and will make the TCO analysis;
  • Adapts business models to customer requirements taking into account the autonomy of systems, site classification, level of availability and system of penalties avoiding requirements above the target quality level, pursuing the organization’s objectives to eliminate waste and bring added value;
  • Is directly involved in technical and commercial discussions to promote and justify the plan and implicitly the amortization and depreciation period, addressing the lifetime of the systems for future implementations;
  • Checks the feasibility and sizing both technical and commercial considering the optimization of the proposed power supply solutions (design, components, safety coefficients, risk management in general);
  • Create and insure technical trainings on power equipment’s and power supply solutions for local entities;
  • Participates in contractual discussions with the client regarding future projects;
  • Holds presentations to the client, implicitly willing to travel internationally;
  • Develops the documentation specific to the department’s activity – procedures, studies, standards, evaluation systems;
  • Contributes to the administration and implementation of personal and professional development plans of the subordinate staff or for which he exercises the role of mentor;
  • Makes reports of the activity of the subordinate team / department, under all its functional aspects;
  • Maintains a close professional relationship with other members of the organization, involved in customer service;
  • Provides technical assistance to customer representatives;
  • Identify, together with the Suppliers, the best partners for the technical solutions;
  • Collaborates with all the departments from the Group;
  • Provides reports to the general management being part of the Group roles.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

 

  • A successful university degree with focus on Energy, Energy for Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrotechnical Industrial Engineering, or similar;
  • At least 5 years of experience in energy power projects design or implementation, knowledge of hybrid energy systems and/or remote solar sites and/or operations in emerging countries and/or energy for telcos is a big advantage;
  • +2 years’ experience in coordinating team in project with alternative energy solutions;
  • Good knowledge in batteries technology, remote energy systems, batteries for hybrid/solar systems;
  • Experience in emerging countries operations, emerging countries energy project management is a big advantage;
  • Strong relations with internal and external partners to support solid communication skills;
  • Conversational English and French knowledge;
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functioning in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively;
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests as well as collaborate with others to utilize resources and knowledge in identifying high quality solutions;
  • Proficient to advanced skill with computer software programs, including MS Office and project management tools and drawing programs.
