Psihoselect performs the Recruitment Process for a multinational partner company, specialized in electronics production for the following position:
MOLDING DESIGN ENGINEER
Location – Cluj County
Role: Molding Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and execution of plastic injection molds, develop new molds, new molding processes and design engineering changes on existing molds.
Essential Functions:
- Mold concept development, mold design review, mold design approval, tool trial, tool trial reports;
- Initiation of debug activities that relate to new tool qualifications;
- Designing engineering changes on existing molds;
- Defined the new molds requirement according with the plastic material, forecast, and plastic part geometry;
- Collaborating with R&D department to find the best solution to design plastic parts;
- New product introduction, mold tool trials (choose the proper injection machine, setup of molding injection parameters, design of EOAT and robot programming) to production mode tool trial reports (conclusions and recommendations);
- Establishment of mold and process documentation (process sheet parameters, work instructions in terms of setting the mold on IMM, robot and gripper handling, purging and color change guidelines);
- Cycle optimization and maintain favorable trends in process and product quality for the plant;
- Setting up and conducting mold optimization trials and validations;
- Fault finding and problem solving of development and production processes.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- Three to five plus years of experience in a similar position in the field of plastics injection;
- Technical University degree;
- Fluent in English, both orally and in writing;
- Experience in CAD mold design software;
- Demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to identify issues and propose solutions;
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently;
- Positive result driven and hands on attitude.
