PRODUCTION MANAGER<\/strong>

 <\/p>\n

Role:<\/strong> The Production Manager leads the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards. Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met. Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team by building working relationships ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern lean manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Essential Functions:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance;
\n\u2022 Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization;
\n\u2022 Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily\/weekly\/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are always maintained;
\n\u2022 Responsible for plant production, financial performance, meeting customer requirements and maintaining the orderly and productive operation of planned activities;
\n\u2022 Ensure the target productivity level is achieved daily;
\n\u2022 Update the production plan daily;
\n\u2022 Communicate and liaise with other departmental managers regarding throughput of stock to ensure production targets are met;
\n\u2022 Attend various meetings and action\/communicate instructions;
\n\u2022 Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems;
\n\u2022 Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required;
\n\u2022 Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department;
\n\u2022 Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors;
\n\u2022 Manage and develop a high performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements;
\n\u2022 Set department objectives\/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports;
\n\u2022 Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required;
\n\u2022 Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holiday allowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity;
\n\u2022 Provide technical expertise to the team;
\n\u2022 Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems;
\n\u2022 Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them;
\n\u2022 Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware;
\n\u2022 Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility;
\n\u2022 Input and hold responsibility for manufacturing budgets;
\n\u2022 Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements;
\n\u2022 Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance;
\n\u2022 Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on engineering design and development. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimizing cost;
\n\u2022 Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact;
\n\u2022 Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere;
\n\u2022 Makes useful links to arrive at insightful plans and solutions;
\n\u2022 Embraces personal challenge;
\n\u2022 Confident, rounded thinking, takes ownership for team cohesion and team development.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 + 7 years relevant working experience in production management roles with a very strong leadership component;
\n\u2022 Extensive plant level experience with significant knowledge in lean production flow, optimization processes;
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Technical field or related;
\n\u2022 Fluent in English, both orally and in writing;
\n\u2022 Working knowledge with CNC equipment\u2019s in production;
\n\u2022 Understanding of manufacturing, maintenance and procurement\/supply chain;
\n\u2022 Good ERP Systems knowledge, MS Office package and CNC tools;
\n\u2022 Excellent leadership and management skills, able to implement change in the organization;
\n\u2022 Support encourage and develop team and take ownership for team;
\n\u2022 Positive result driven and hands on attitude;
\n\u2022 Good organizational and time-management skills.<\/p>\n
