OPERATIONAL PLANT MANAGER
Location – Satu Mare
Role: The Operational Plant Manager oversees the daily workings of the factory’s operations. Plans, manages, and implements actions to ensure deadlines are met, and maintains a high-quality standard of product production and delivery.
Essential Functions:
- Find the best solutions to optimize the business operations;
- Ensure that all production processes are in accordance with the company standards, customer requirements and economic performance;
- Planning, directing and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications;
- Review processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints;
- Direct and coordinate production, processing, logistics and maintenance activities of industrial plant;
- Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detect production problems;
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems;
- Hire, train, evaluate, resolve personnel grievances or discharge staff;
- Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records;
- Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality;
- Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets;
- Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs;
- Provide guidance or recommendations for the maintenance, modification, replacement or acquisition of facility equipment;
- Review plans and confer with research or support staff to develop new products or processes;
- Institute employee suggestion and involvement programs in strong relationship with the HR strategy;
- Follow the strategic goals settled by the group and report the status of all projects;
- Make sure that everything is in place accordingly to the safety regulations;
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- +5 years’ experience in management position, coordinating in the field of industrial production (site or segments);
- Experience in the electronics or automotive sector is an advantage, generally in standardized production environment;
- Very good knowledge of production optimization;
- Personnel management, planning and development skills;
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field or related;
- Proficiency in English;
- Business and entrepreneurial mindset;
- Strategic thinking and teamwork;
- Willingness to travel when required.
