SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - Location: Cluj-Napoca

Psihoselect performs the recruitment process for a partner multinational company specialized in production for the following position:

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Location – Cluj-Napoca

Role: Responsible for overseeing the accounting processes, month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries. Preparing and analyzing accounting records, with a strong collaboration and under the supervision of the Financial Manager helps company leadership with strategic decisions and makes sure that the company complies with national financial regulations. Represents the company at Group level meetings and accountancy reporting.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for the correct preparation and timely reporting of all documents in the relationship with state institutions (TVA, contributions, local taxes, etc.);
Check and ensure that there are appropriate supporting documents for all accounts from the checking balance;
Represents the accountancy function and the reporting results at Group level meetings;
Continuously ensure compliance with legislation in force; proposes preventive or corrective measures whenever notes that they are necessary;
Operates and reports banking transactions;
Keeps records of the company’s insurance and leasing;
Operates foreign exchange transactions in accordance with the instructions of the Financial Manager;
Verify monthly reconciliation of checking balance accounts with supporting documents prepared by each person in the team: inventory receipts, supplier journals, customer journals, keeps the balances of suppliers, debtors / creditors, payment instruments, salary, taxes and fees;
Maintain accountant policies and procedures for the company;
Contribute to the development, implementation and review of finance activities across the business to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks;
Follows the correct and timely fulfillment of the tasks in the checklist monthly;
Prepares the reports required by management.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

3-5 years relevant working experience as Senior Accountant position or similar;
Demonstrated and proven experience in accounting related roles preferably within a production environment, but not mandatory;
Bachelor’s degree in Economics;
A strong sense of trust and a high level of confidentiality and integrity;
Fluent in English, both orally and in writing;
Deep analytical capability and ability to apply strategic thinking to accounting reporting and analysis;
Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team member to achieve goals.
Time management skills with an ability to priorities and manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances;
Proficiency using SAP or similar ERP type tools, Microsoft Office Programs, proficiency in Excel and other relevant database programs;
Positive result driven and hands-on attitude.
