Psihoselect performs the recruitment and selection process for a partner company specialized in production and distribution of engineering solutions.
HEAD OF ACCOUNTING
Location: ARAD
Role: Responsible for the day-to-day aspects of the business’s accounting operations, with a strong collaboration with the General Manager and external company support (audit and accounting expertise).
Essential Functions:
- Recording accounting operations up to balance sheet level and monthly reporting according to the established indicators;
- Organizes the accounting department to ensure a good running of the activity;
- Keeps in touch with the company’s external support to ensure continuous compliance with the legislation in force;
- Propose preventive or corrective measures whenever it finds them necessary;
- Prepares payment packages to suppliers according to payment terms, forecasts, and particular cases according to the instructions received;
- Operates currency exchange transactions according to the instructions of the group’s treasury, possible deposits, salary payments, duties, and taxes;
- Monthly checks the reconciliation of the accounts in the trial balance with the supporting documents drawn up by the department: stock receptions, supplier journals, customer journals, keep under control the balances of supplier’s debtors/creditor clients, payment instruments, payroll, duties and taxes, other debtors and creditors, banking operations;
- Registration of accounting notes, invoices, consumption vouchers;
- Preparation of the cash register, operation of bank statements, preparation and registration of returns;
- Preparation and submission of declarations to local and state institutions;
- Reconciliation and closure of monthly accounts in accordance with current legislation and internal procedures of the company;
- Constant contact with the HQ in Germany, customers and suppliers when needed;
- Proposing solutions and procedures to streamline the department’s activity.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- + 3 years experience in the financial-accounting field as Senior Accountant, Accountant Expert, Head of Accounting, Chief Accountant or similar positions;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
- English – Conversation level;
- German – Conversational level (not a must, but represents a big advantage);
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, ERP type tools and reporting software, WinMentor represents an advantage;
- Extensive knowledge in the field of accounting and tax legislation;
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization;
- Good problem solving and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis;
- Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner, high level of integrity;
- Problem-solving attitude.
