QUALITY MANAGER
Location- Brașov
Role: The job role of the Quality Manager is to assist the organizations to formulate quality standards and regulations for employees and for the product produced as well. The Quality Manager’s duties include developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages and writing reports documenting production issues. This position implies great attention to detail, the Quality Manager will follow the raw materials through to the final product while inspecting, assessing, and optimizing the journey all along the way.
Essential Functions:
- Development of quality management system documentation: Quality Manual, system procedures, work procedures, procedure record forms, quality plans;
- Assisting the organisation’s executive management in defining and implementing the organisation’s quality policy, objectives and strategies;
- Managing quality management system documents;
- Implementation, maintenance and improvement of the quality management system according to management standards (ISO);
- Understanding quality requirements and customer expectations and communicating them within the organization;
- Coordinating the quality department, providing support and feedback;
- Control quality costs;
- Conducting and scheduling internal and external quality audits;
- Analyze product, process and system non-conformities, customer complaints (root cause determination), determine corrective and preventive actions, implement and verify their effectiveness;
- Successfully resolve customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction;
- Handling customer audits;
- Managing communication with customers on product quality;
- Asking for feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are being met;
- Supervise and coordinate the transfer of new projects;
- Use of FMEA, SAP, standards and specifications;
- Implementation of error prevention measures for continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other departments;
- Developing and reviewing specifications for products or processes;
- Perform statistical analysis;
- Development of means to motivate subordinate staff;
- Ensuring a climate of communication and encouragement of initiative that contributes to the achievement of set objectives;
- Carrying out regular performance appraisals of subordinates;
- Ensuring that the quality management system complies with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards;
- Contributes to the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of quality, environmental, etc. management systems.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- + 5 years work experience in the automotive, electronics, aerospace or related industries;
- + 3 years in a similar position;
- University graduate;
- Good knowledge in quality management (8D, FMEA, 4Q method, Lean Six Sigma etc.) – ideally in the automotive industry;
- ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standard;
- Ability to evaluate and make decisions very good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to analyse data/statistical methods;
- Ease, clarity and consistency in expression;
- Organizational/planning skills;
- Negotiation and leadership skills;
- Technical knowledge, knowledge of LEAN principles and methods;
- Strategic thinking and leadership skills (delegation, decision-making, motivation);
- Expertise in cost reduction;
- Excellent operating skills in Excel and ERP-SAP systems;
- Fluency in English;
- Flexible personality, easily adaptable;
- Result-oriented and focused on clear objectives;
- Analytical skills, good strategist;
- Able to work in an international team;
- Knowledge of and compliance with the Departmental Occupational Safety and Health and Workplace Safety and Health Protection Regulations as well as the rules for the use of PSI and PM equipment.
