CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Location – Cluj-Napoca
The role of a Chief Financial Officer will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, deal analysis, negotiations and investor relationship. As a key member of the Board of Directors, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the company CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team;
- Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team;
- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting;
- Advising on long-term business and financial planning;
- Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders;
- Monitoring and directing strategic business plans;
- Ensuring effective internal controls are in place and compliance with applicable regulatory legislation for financial and tax reporting;
- Managing financial controls and accounting procedures;
- Ensuring full transparency over the financial performance of the company;
- Providing advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs;
- Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner;
- Proposing action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained;
- Developing financial and tax strategies;
- Overseeing all transactions and processing systems;
- Implementing operational best practices;
- Providing strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and new business opportunities;
- Supporting the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans;
- Ensuring that record keeping meets the requirements auditors and government agencies;
- Reporting risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors;
- Maintaining relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as CFO or relevant Financial Leadership Role in a 30-40 mil euro revenue company;
- Strong background and knowledge of other business roles in major companies;
- 10+ years of experience for a major company or division of a large corporation;
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices;
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods;
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization;
- Strong problem solving and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred);
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, ERP type tools and financial reporting software;
- Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner, high level of integrity;
- Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
