CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Location: Cluj Napoca
For our Partner Company we are searching an important member of the Management Committee, being accountable for the planning, administrative, financial and risk management operations of the company. Operational strategy and the development of a financial strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results, defines the CFO mission.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and direct the implementation of stategic business plans;
- Monitor the Controlling process of the Company (Long Term Plan, Budget, Corrective actions plans);
- Develop financial and tax strategies;
- Manage the capital request;
- Develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction;
- Participate in key decisions as an important member of the Management Committee;
- Manage the controlling, accounting, evtl payroll, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments;
- Manage the whole planning system of the Company – Long term Plan – Main target budget – Quarterly revisions – Corrective Action Plans – Actuals;
- Develops and implements policies, procedures, standards and systems for the operational and fiscal areas and monitors performance to insure effectiveness and efficiency of the programs; initiates and participates in special studies of accounting systems, practices and procedures;
- Monitors revenue generation and expenditures to identify need for more in-depth analysis; establishes and maintains an internal control structure for procurement, revenues, expenditures, assets and financial reporting to insure fiscal accuracy and that requirements/obligations are met;
- Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations;
- Implement and maintain operational best practices;
- Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package;
- Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisition;
- Supervise and coordinate due diligence done by customers or banks on operations;
- Report financial results to the board of directors;
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile;
- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry;
- Construct and monitor reliable control systems;
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage;
- Ensure that the record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies;
- Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors;
- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations;
- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts;
- Arrange for debt and equity financing;
- Invest funds;
- Participate in conference calls with the investment community (when necessary);
- Represent the company with investment bankers and investors;
- Supervises Controlling, Accounting, Treasury, Taxes, (Payroll) and Legal Departments.
Requirements:
- MBA;
- 8-10 years experience in major companies or division of large corporation;
- Experience in partnering with an executive team;
- Experience in international business environment;
- Proficiency in English, German represents an advantage.
