Psihoselect performs the Recruitment Process for a partner company specialized in offering construction solutions and products, for the following position:

GENERAL MANAGER

Location – Cluj County

 

Role: General Manager has the primary responsibility for the leadership, strategic and management direction and business results of the company. Working closely with the Board of Directors of the company and the management team, the GM ensures that the Company establishes appropriate goals, and manages its resources to meet these goals. Responsible for the company development in 2 countries – RO and HU.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • The General Manager is responsible for developing a short-medium-term, sound strategy for the company, that is intended to increase the value as well as meeting the needs of customers, employees and other stakeholders;
  • The GM puts in place processes that encourage effective strategic planning;
  • Ensures that company strategies are effectively implemented with timely progress towards strategic objectives, including short-term and medium-term growth and profitability objectives;
  • The GM obtains and allocates resources consistent with strategic objectives and makes timely adjustments in strategies when market conditions and other forces, including the competitive environment, demand a change;
  • Is responsible to carry out a comprehensive budgeting process and monitor the company’s performance against the budget and reflected in KPI’s;
  • The GM proposes appropriate annual and medium-term financial objectives for the company and monitors the attainment of these financial goals as well as maintains spending in accordance with approved capital expenditure and other investment budgets;
  • Identifies and communicates risks and opportunities to the Board and deals with them appropriately;
  • Ensures that the company has appropriate auditing and financial control processes in place to protect assets;
  • Maintains effective control of operations and provides accurate and complete disclosure of results that fairly represent the company’s business, financial condition and operations, and enable investors to understand the business;
  • Exercises an appropriate level of leadership for the organization, manages the culture and builds a team atmosphere;
  • Effectively communicates the vision, management philosophy and business strategy to the company’s employeesand external stakeholders;
  • Actively seeks to recruit and retain competent employees and to motivate and inspire such employees to adopt the company’s values and to achieve the company’s vision;
  • Ensures that there is clarity of objectives and focus for all employees and that there are clear and appropriate standards and measures of performance;
  • The GM is visible and proactive in representing the company to customers, investors, local community, authorities and other stakeholders;
  • Fosters a culture of ethical behavior for the company, promotes compliance with the company’s code of business and proactively ensures that the company complies with all its legal, accounting, ethical, moral and social responsibility obligations;
  • Oversees the compensation, performance assessment, leadership, talent development and succession planning of senior management;
  • Oversees environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, and waste management.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

 

  • Previous experience three to five years in a General Manager role is mandatory;
  • + 10 years relevant working experience on a senior management position, including experience in a leadership and commercial role, is essential;
  • Extensive production and service level experience with significant proven management experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, technical or related fields;
  • Fluent in English, both orally and in writing;
  • Very good working knowledge with budget and financial indicators;
  • Very good working knowledge of sales/ procurement/ supply chain/ manufacturing;
  • Good ERP Systems knowledge, MS Office package;
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, including negotiation skills;
  • Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members;
  • Support, encourage and develop team and take ownership of the team;
  • Positive result driven and hands-on attitude;
  • Good organizational and time management skills;
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
