Psihoselect performs the recruitment process for a partner company specialized in production and commercialization of domestic appliances for the following position:
LEGAL& COMPLIANCE EXPERT
Location: CLUJ COUNTY
Role: The Legal and Compliance Expert ensures that the company operates in full compliance with national and international laws, industry regulations, professional standards, and internal policies. This role will work extensively with HR Manager to identify opportunities to proactively and preventatively address common employee relations issues and will provide guidance and coaching to managers of all levels to address employee behavior and performance areas. The Legal and Compliance Expert role is key because protecting the organization from potential legal issues and maintains the integrity of the company and supports strategic decision-making.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement compliance policies and awareness initiatives for employees on key legal and regulatory topics;
- Overseeing the management of employee relations processes and procedures to enable effective management, conflict resolution, and problem solving;
- Conducting, overseeing and otherwise assisting with employee relation issues to manage employee concerns and grievances and to identify and implement appropriate employee action and accountability practices;
- Identifying a fair and inclusive process appropriate for employee concerns or grievances including overseeing employee fact-finding and ensuring adherence to employee relations policies and practices;
- Providing strategic support, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the company on legal labor compliance;
- Staying attuned to organizational and operational changes across the company to identify potential employee relations risks and develop plans to address proactively;
- Providing guidance and assisting with the development and delivery of appropriate performance feedback or action plans including corrective/disciplinary actions;
- Overseeing the use of effective documentation techniques and maintaining accurate, confidential records regarding all reported matters and fact-finding documentation;
- Interpreting and applying understanding of personnel policies and practices, employment law, and other regulations to provide guidance or clarification for employee relationship matters;
- Maintaining the highest level of integrity when managing employee relations issues and managing reported matters;
- Manage the creation and implementation of the Labour Contract Management process liaising with internal stakeholders;
- Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements;
- Coordinate and support training sessions for employees on legal compliance topics, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization;
- Collaborate with external legal advisors to address complex legal issues and ensure that the company’s legal interests are protected;
- Realize reports and statistics for the Legal issues to track legal costs, performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- +5 relevant experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector;
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, employment law, data privacy (GDPR), compliance regulations, and risk management;
- Legal education at bachelor degree level, additional studies in related fields, represents a strong advantage;
- Fluent spoken and written English;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
