Psihoselect performs the Recruitment Process for a partner company specialized in production in the automotive industry, for the following position:
PLANT MANAGER
Location – Cluj County
General Purpose:
Overseeing the daily workings of the factory’s operations. Planning, managing and implementing actions, in order to ensure that deadlines are met, and maintaining a high-quality standard of product production and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Finding the best solutions, in order to expand and optimize the business;
- Planning, directing and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications;
- Reviewing processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints;
- Directing or coordinating production, processing, distribution, or marketing activities of industrial organizations;
- Developing or implementing production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, in order to detect production problems;
- Reviewing operations and conferring with technical or administrative staff to solve production or processing problems;
- Hiring, training, evaluating, or discharging staff or solving personnel grievances;
- Preparing and maintaining production reports or personnel records;
- Setting and monitoring product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality;
- Developing budgets or approving expenditures for supplies, materials, or human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently, in order to meet production targets;
- Initiating or coordinating inventory or cost control programs;
- Coordinating or recommending procedures for facility or equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines;
- Reviewing plans and conferring with research or support staff to develop new products or processes;
- Instituting employee suggestion or involvement programs;
- Maintaining current knowledge of the quality control field, relying on current literature pertaining to materials use, technological advances, or statistical studies;
- Negotiating materials prices with suppliers;
- Following the strategic goals settled by the group in Germany and reporting the status of all projects;
- Ensuring that everything is in place accordingly to the safety regulations.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the Technical Field;
- Proficiency in German, English, and Romanian;
- Commercial or technical training;
- Experience in the metal cutting or automotive sector is a considerable advantage;
- Experience in coordinating in the field of industrial production;
- Very good knowledge of production optimization;
- Personnel management, planning, and development skills;
- Business and entrepreneurial mindset;
- Strategic thinking and teamwork;
- Willingness to travel when required.
