PURCHASING MANAGER

Location: Alba county

Our partner is a company specialized in the national distribution of Office and Industrial Solutions

Responsibilities:

• Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers;
• Locate vendors of equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales;
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment;
• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures in the department;
• Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future products availability;
• Optimizes acquisition costs: negotiates contracts with suppliers and cost improvement initiatives;
• Control purchasing department budgets;
• Works with suppliers to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost effectively;
• Controls expenditure and builds a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs;
• Directs and coordinates the Purchasing Department.

Requirements:

• At least three years’ experience in procurement;
• Knowledge of procurement strategies, as well as market research abilities;
• Strong negotiation and bid procedure knowledge and experience;
• Experience in people management;
• An advanced level of English is mandatory.
