SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Location – Bucharest/Cluj Napoca/Sibiu/Timisoara
Role: The Sales & Business Development Manager will increase targets for the business by managing sales opportunities and bringing new clients and projects into the company. This role is about the management of sales opportunities and leads, it is a targeted sales role, and it will carry a personal target and be responsible for managing its own sales opportunities and pipeline. The Sales & Business Development Manager will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their technology needs and provide a sales proposal to them and follow that through to closing the sale. Many opportunities require the ability to present and influence at Board-level, and experience at this level is a must. This role enjoys a high degree of autonomy and travelling while working in a closely collaborative team.
Essential Functions:
- Identify and qualify potential customers in the sales zone and develop a business development plan to reach them;
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations;
- The Sales& Business Development Manager will develop new business relationships, generate, and negotiate new revenues for the company;
- The Sales& Business Development Manager is responsible for his/her own lead generation and appointment setting and actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; handover to the line managers;
- Is expected to generate new business, working in collaboration with the management team for complex large pitches and strategies;
- Manages and maintains a pipeline and ensure all sales administration is up to date using the CRM software. Ensures that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s sales management system;
- Forecasts sales targets and ensures they are met by the entire team;
- Tracks and records activity on accounts and helps to close deals to meet these targets;
- Ensures that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a client list) are fulfilled within a timely manner;
- Present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with the purpose of developing new services, products, and distribution channels;
- Identifies opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales;
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identifies and develops the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators;
- Creates and is accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following the companies’ procedures;
- Responds to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner;
- The Sales& Business Development Manager will effectively interact with other departments including the account management and technical team when handing over campaigns ensuring he fully and correctly briefs in all aspects of the sale;
- Keeps abreast of issues related to open-source technologies and collects relevant information from the market regarding trends and clients needs;
- Organizes together with the marketing department events and marketing campaigns to promote the company’s IT solutions;
- Ensures the company remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- Must be educated to degree level, preferably with some IT components, with a solid understanding of business development at B2B level customers at C level interaction level;
- Proven success in sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process;
- Proven knowledge and experience at senior level in sales of IT services and solutions;
- Confident negotiator and ability to ‘close the deal’;
- Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions;
- Ability to work in intimate and transparent collaboration with the management, project, and technical teams;
- Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation;
- Strong understanding of how an IT business operates and successful candidates will have a proven track record demonstrating their understanding and business acumen;
- An independent and thoughtful sales professional with exceedingly developed sales and negotiation skills;
- An overachieving sales professional who can confidently articulate and quantify previous successes;
- A resolute sales professional who is driven by succeeding in challenging and complex sales opportunities;
- Strong client management skills and ability to keep promises;

- Must be familiar with software tools used in daily activities from reports to communication and presentations;
- Passionate about and having depth knowledge in technology;
- Executive confidence – be decisive and articulate strategies and plans with confidence, customer centric, understanding of current trends of digital transformation;
- Ability to articulate a clear vision and mobilize teams;
- Fluent English mandatory;
- Will be expected to spend a significant amount of your time out of the office.
