TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER
Location: Cluj-Napoca
Role: The Technical Sales Engineer will provide technical and application support according to the customer’s products and needs. Will be responsible for maintaining collaboration between sales team and clients. You will be an active brand ambassador to the customers and you will develop and maintain good customer relationships.
Essential Functions:
- Find the best technical solution according to each particular case;
- Confer with customers and engineers to assess tooling or software solutions needs;
- Run feasibility and time studies on customers products;
- Identify and select the products according to requirements and application
- Discuss design or technical features of products or services with technical personnel
- Support the customer on developing skills utilizing our client programming software, conduct software trainings;
- Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment;
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers;
- Provide technical support, solutions and applications suggestions to the customers;
- Visit actual and potential customers with the aim to provide consultative, solution-based technical sales;
- Generating new leads and identify resale opportunities and support them to achieve sales plans;
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide technical solutions;
- Develop and maintain a solid relationship with customers.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
- University degree in Engineering (Technical);
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position or in a commercial or technical environment (technical support, quotations engineer, applications engineer, technical sales engineer, mechanical engineer, automation engineer, CAD designer, sheet metal machine programmer);
- Languages: English – speaking and writing – medium to advanced level (mandatory);
- PC skills: MS Office, e-Mail, Internet, CAD software;
- Valid driving license;
- Motivation to learn about high technology and become an industry expert;
- Willing to work in an autonomous and pro-active way;
- Strong communication skills;
- Availability to travel as needed.
